Crepe Paper Roses

Materials Required

Crepe paper 1 sheet

Scissors

Thinfloral wire

Thread #10 [used for making fur toys]

Green floral tape

Artificial Leaves

Instruction

Cut 12 petals in the given shape. Now tease the edge of the petals to form a gentle curl. After which the petals should be gently cupped by pulling the corners of the petals.

Arrangements

Curl one petal and place it in the middle.

Now with the help of a floral wire twirl around the petal and bring the wire down to form the stem.

Next step is to arrange the petals .

The basic rule is to place the petals in such a way that the end of the first petal should be in the centre of the next petal. Arrange all the petals . I use thread to tie the petals securely .

After the petal arrangements cut a star shaped piece out of organdie or three pointed bits of organdie to attach for the sepals.

Wrap the stems with green tape.

Add leaves .

Now the flower is complete.

Floral Crafts ! This blog is about my hobby – flower making.

ARTIFICIAL FLOWER MAKING.

My cousin Rejni who lives in Oman now was the one who introduced me to this hobby. She had made lovely centre pieces, basket arrangements in her home and later on made her own wedding accessories by herself. I learned this art and later on went in for a intensive training 5 years ago and all these years I have enjoyed myself both making flowers and teaching this unique craft in my town.

I have made more than 20 varieties of flowers and the materials I use range from Organdies, Stocking material ,Silk, Satin Ribbons, Paper Ribbons and Crepe Paper.

I have made various floral arrangements, basket arrangements, floral wreaths, wedding bouquets, boutonnières, flower girls baskets, head dress and many more.
